Getting to know Elizabeth Casaclang-Melo

Seeking out help for the first time can be scary?I'm glad you're here! For the last 19 years, I've focused my clinical work on substance abuse and addiction, Bipolar Disorder, adjustment and relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I hold a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, Schaumburg. In treatment, I initially focus on building a strong therapeutic rapport, helping develop achievable goals, and providing strong coping tools so my clients can live more satisfying lives. Working with diverse cultures and populations is a collaborative effort, and I believe being non-judgmental and developing a strong therapeutic relationship are essential to achieving successful outcomes.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy CBT) and culturally competent modalities of treatment in an effort to help clients identify patterns, triggers and behaviors that may be contributing to feelings of distress or discontent. I pride myself in treating the whole person rather than narrowly treating the symptoms/issues. I'd be happy to discuss how my treatment approach may fit into your current needs.
