“I am so grateful to have found Liz. I have been working with her for two years, and she has been the most encouraging, positive, and sensitive counselor I have ever worked with. She has really helped me grow in areas I have needed. Some days I just need to vent, and other days I need to hear the hard things, and Liz has a great understanding of what I need in the moment. Thank you Liz!!! ”

Getting to know Elizabeth Conran

Do you often feel drained from saying yes too often, replaying conversations, or carrying responsibility for other people’s emotions? Many of my clients are caring, capable adults who appear high-functioning while privately experiencing anxiety, stress, self-doubt, or feeling disconnected from themselves. As a New Jersey therapist providing telehealth counseling and online therapy, I work collaboratively with adults to better understand emotional patterns, manage anxiety, strengthen self-esteem, and create healthier boundaries. Therapy is a space to reconnect with your needs, build confidence in your choices, and develop practical tools that support lasting change. I enjoy working with individuals across the lifespan and especially value supporting young adults as they navigate their 20s, identity development, relationships, career decisions, and the many adjustments that come with adulthood. With about 15 years of experience in mental health, I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, and recovery. My approach is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth, creating a space where you can feel understood while working toward meaningful growth. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or ready for a new chapter, I am here to support you with compassionate, evidence-based counseling tailored to your goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you are used to managing challenges on your own or minimizing what you are experiencing. You may wonder if your concerns are “serious enough” or feel uncertain about what to expect. As a New Jersey therapist providing telehealth counseling and online therapy, I offer a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy can include both meaningful conversations and moments of humor, because feeling understood does not have to mean every session feels heavy. At the same time, I will gently challenge you to explore patterns, consider new perspectives, and take steps toward the changes you want to make. You do not need to have the right words, a clear plan, or all the answers before beginning therapy. Together, we will explore your concerns, build practical coping skills, strengthen self-awareness, and work toward lasting growth at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationships, self-esteem, or personal growth, you are welcome exactly as you are.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and relationship concerns through a supportive and practical therapy approach. I tailor treatment to your unique goals, experiences, and needs. A typical session may include exploring current challenges, identifying patterns that may be keeping you stuck, building practical coping skills, and developing a deeper understanding of yourself. We will work collaboratively to strengthen self-trust, improve emotional regulation, and create healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges. My goal is to provide a space where you feel supported while also gaining the tools and insight needed to create meaningful change. Together, we will work toward reducing anxiety and stress, improving mood, strengthening relationships, and helping you feel more confident navigating transitions and everyday life.
