Getting to know Elizabeth Damian

I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern working under the supervision of Eva Gonzalez, LMHC. I support adolescents and adults through life’s challenges by creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard and understood. I work with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, using techniques like CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and trauma-focused care to help you build coping skills and gain insight. I also have experience supporting diverse populations, including women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those navigating grief, adjustment challenges, and recovery. I offer couples therapy and incorporate approaches like motivational interviewing and relapse prevention when needed. My goal is to meet you where you are and support meaningful, lasting growth. Session Information (Self-Pay Rates) • Therapy Evaluation: $180 (60 minutes) • Therapy Follow-Up: $160 (60 minutes) These rates apply to self-pay patients. If you are using insurance, the cost of services will be determined by your insurance plan based on your specific benefits, copay, coinsurance, or deductible.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is warm, collaborative, and centered on creating a space where you feel safe to open up without fear of judgment. I focus on building trust and truly listening, while also helping you develop practical tools to navigate daily challenges. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT, mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques, always moving at a pace that feels right for you. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build effective coping skills, and feel more confident and supported in your day-to-day life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When we begin working together, I take time to understand what you are going through, your background, and what you hope to get out of therapy. This helps us build a plan that feels personalized and meaningful to you. In our sessions, we will have open and supportive conversations where you can process your experiences while also learning practical tools to manage challenges outside of therapy. I may incorporate techniques like coping strategies, cognitive reframing, and mindfulness to support your progress. As we continue, we will check in regularly and adjust as needed. My goal is to create a consistent and supportive space where you can grow at your own pace and feel confident in the changes you are making.
