Elizabeth Einig, LCSW

Psychotherapist
1550 Spring Rd, Ste 106, Oak Brook, IL
I enjoy working with those had to ignore or shut down their emotions, felt unheard, invalidated, alone, and not good enough as a child. I hope to help you understand your needs, build self-trust, and safely experience your feelings. I specialize in therapy for kids, teens, and adults facing concerns including anxiety, depression, PTSD and C-PTSD, disordered eating, and chronic illness. My style is warm and open, offering compassion and validation, while also gently challenging unhelpful beliefs and patterns to help foster your growth.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe so much healing comes from a strong relationship with a therapist- my priority is building a safe, trusting space. I often use a mix of evidence-based treatments including Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, DBT, ACT, CBT, attachment-focused approaches, and somatic therapy. I also integrate creative approaches, including sand tray, art, visualizations, and play.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I know it can be hard to reach out for help- I hope to offer a space that allows you to feel safe, heard, valued, and able to trust your own wisdom. I understand the importance of finding the right therapist, so I encourage trying around 2-3 sessions with me to see if we connect well - but if not, I will connect you with resources/referrals! During our first session, we'll spend time learning more about your goals, current concerns, and various parts of your life and history.
