I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 10 years, holding a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Boise State University. My practice focuses on individuals of all backgrounds, from adolescents to adults, seeking guidance and support for the demands of our modern world. My approach I approach sessions from a person-centered and evidence-based perspective, keeping your feelings and thoughts at the forefront. I use an eclectic approach with skills from evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness, tailoring sessions to meet your unique needs. My focus I have counseled people of all ages facing challenges such as self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, career, parenting, and academic concerns. I also have a unique skill set working with gifted individuals and athletes, drawing from my experience as a professional coach. My communication style I am open, non-judgmental, and understanding. I create a safe environment to explore difficult topics. I hope working with me makes you feel seen, heard, and supported, providing a space to learn about yourself and grow into the person you want to become. My journey to mental healthcare As a professional coach, I often found myself in a therapeutic role with my athletes. After decades of coaching and serving as a default therapist, I combined my psychology background with coaching through formal training. While I carry motivational aspects of coaching, becoming a therapist has allowed me to reach a wider population with varied needs. My goals for you We will focus on your goals in our initial session and re-evaluate as we progress. A collaborative approach is best for meeting your needs and helping you get the most out of our time together. My first session with you We will get to know each other, beginning with your history, goals, and what you want to focus on during our sessions.
