When I think about life and growth, lyrics from a Grateful Dead song feel relevant: "Sometimes the light's all shining on me, other times I can barely see. Lately, it occurs to me, what a long, strange trip it's been." This trip of life we're on can often be overwhelming, uncertain, full of highs and lows, and difficult transitions. Therapy can be a valuable support system to help process these wide-ranging experiences and their impacts while navigating how to cope so that we can cultivate full, meaningful lives. My approach I use a client-centered approach that focuses on us collaboratively understanding you from a holistic perspective and what you need to reach your goals by creating a warm, supportive connection in which you can safely explore your experiences and feelings. With compassion and curiosity, we’ll explore the deeper “why” behind your present concerns and challenges and begin building a foundation for meaningful change. Therapy with me draws from several modalities that focus on both understanding how previous life experiences have shaped us and also how to integrate those experiences into our present selves and ultimate goals. My focus I work with individuals and families of all ages and backgrounds who are looking for support while managing life's many transitions, including the positive moments, the difficult challenges, and everything in between. I specialize in working with people impacted by illness, grief and loss, stress, relationship issues, trauma, postpartum and parenthood, depression and anxiety, and existential contemplation. There is no problem too small or too large that therapy can't help, and I hope to walk with people through all of life's complex experiences. My communication style I am naturally a thoughtful, empathetic, and non-judgmental person, which comes through in my work with clients. How we communicate will be a collaborative process because I truly want to meet the unique needs and preferences of each client.
