Psychotherapist
PA
Sometimes the people in our lives just don’t get it. I have worked with those managing anxiety, depression, and family and relationship challenges. I also have special experience working with older adults, artists and creatives, career challenges and burnout, and people living with HIV or other health conditions. Our lives don't often offer the non-judgmental space to work through trauma, heartache, and overwhelming stress. Talking with a therapist is different from talking with a friend or family member because you are free of obligations and responsibility. It is all about you, and I will ask helpful questions, point out connections and patterns, and simply give you space to put yourself first and talk through your experiences. Therapy works when the therapeutic relationship is trustworthy, open, direct, and comfortable. People I have worked with call me warm, friendly, approachable, and easy to talk to. I think this is because I always find common ground, something to chuckle about together, and make a point to show you that you aren’t alone in this. If you have been to therapy before, it may help to know I have the experience and training to work with those who have received a mild, moderate, or severe mental health diagnosis, but know that it is only one piece of the puzzle. Knowledge is power. I believe in psychoeducation—teaching you as much as you like about psychology and how our brains operate. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Temple University, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support you on your journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

"You will be heard. I will work hard to be sure I see things through your eyes. I will be sure to spend the last moments of our session summarizing what we talked about and decompressing, getting into a mindset to face the rest of your day. If “homework” works for you, I have great exercises and worksheets. Before becoming a therapist I worked in the arts, so I often come back to a next session with a story, painting, or video to share with you that reminds me of what we spoke about. I find sometimes art can say what we can’t. "

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
