Hi, I'm Betsey. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist who works with couples, families, adults, teens and children navigating relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, stress, grief and major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and ground in helping you feel understood, supported and empowered. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I use evidence-based practices to help individuals navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and develop practical tools for emotional well-being. My approach is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and tailored to each client’s unique goals and experiences. In our first session together, here's what you can expect In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space where we focus on getting to know you and what brings you to therapy. We will talk about your concerns, goals, and what you hope to gain from therapy, at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences and background, and we’ll begin identifying strengths and areas of focus. Together, we’ll discuss how therapy can support you or your child and create a plan that feels collaborative, practical, and aligned with your needs. The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions My greatest strengths lie in my ability to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I take a systems-based, evidence-based approach, tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each child, couple, or family. I integrate structured, research-supported models while remaining flexible and responsive to clients’ goals and lived experiences. I am especially skilled at working with children through developmentally appropriate strategies and helping couples strengthen communication and emotional connection.
