Elizabeth Hooser, LMSW

Psychotherapist
TX
With over a decade of experience in social services and eight years as a clinician in both inpatient and outpatient settings, I am deeply committed to guiding individuals through life’s challenges. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Texas State University, which has provided a strong foundation for my clinical practice. I specialize in supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, life transitions, trauma, and addiction. I also work with those navigating schizophrenia spectrum and identity disorders. I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, and couples. Using an integrative approach, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic experiences, person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed practices. Mindfulness plays a key role in my work, fostering grounding and self-awareness to help clients live consciously and intentionally.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Life’s obstacles can feel overwhelming, but I believe in the power of finding what you can control. With my background, I learned this firsthand. I provide a space where you can breathe, explore new perspectives, and work through difficult experiences. Healing is a journey, and I am here to support you in transforming trauma and pain into empowerment and strength. I became a therapist because I am passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and uncover their true selves. I believe everyone has the capacity for growth, change, and healing, and I am honored to be part of that process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our sessions, you can expect a warm, empathetic, and interactive approach. I meet you where you are, bringing real talk and person-centered support to help you move toward healing. My goal is to guide you in becoming more aware and intentional in your healing—emotionally, mentally, and internally.
