Elizabeth Juliano, LCSW

Elizabeth Juliano, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CT
Lisa brings warmth, curiosity, and a collaborative approach to her work with adults navigating emotional challenges, relationship difficulties, substance use, and co-occurring mental health concerns. She is particularly interested in helping people whose needs for safety, connection, acceptance, and emotional support have not been consistently met. These experiences may show up as difficulty trusting others, fear of rejection or abandonment, persistent self-doubt, or pressure to always do more and be better. Her approach is schema-informed and draws from psychodynamic and attachment perspectives. Together with her clients, Lisa explores how earlier experiences and unmet emotional needs influence their sense of self, ways of coping, and relationships. She helps clients recognize recurring patterns, better understand and express their needs, and develop practical ways to manage emotions, strengthen boundaries, and build more secure connections. Lisa holds a Masters of Social Work from Fairfield University and completed clinical internships at High Focus Center and Yale Psychiatric Hospital. Her experience includes providing individual psychotherapy and facilitating intensive outpatient groups for adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. Lisa values a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves. She approaches each person’s story with empathy and curiosity, working alongside clients to develop greater self-understanding, self-compassion, and meaningful change at a pace that respects their needs.
