Hi, I’m Lisa, a psychotherapist based in Westport, CT. I work with adults who are looking for a steady, reflective space to explore their inner world and create more intentional ways of living and relating. My clinical interests include trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), attachment-related concerns, core beliefs and schemas, and addiction.
My style is warm, grounded, and trauma-informed. I blend insight with structure to help you better understand the deeper patterns that influence your emotions, behaviors, and relationships. In our first session, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what feels most important right now, and where you’d like to go, so we can create a strong, thoughtful foundation for therapy.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Fairfield University and am a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP). I’m always continuing my training in trauma-focused therapies so I can offer the best possible care to my clients.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I take a supportive, down-to-earth approach—one that balances structure with empathy. In our work together, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to promote emotional stability, resilience, and long-term recovery.
My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed, meaning I’ll meet you exactly where you are and we’ll move forward at a pace that feels right for you. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership built on trust, insight, and growth.
