Getting to know Elizabeth Kimura

Making the decision to talk to someone can seem challenging and overwhelming, but I am here to listen, validate, respect, and collaborate with you. With my experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified-Music Therapist, I bring a creative mindset to our work together, helping you see your experiences through a variety of lenses. I work with clients of all ages and especially enjoy supporting adolescents and young adults struggling with identity development, LGBTQIA+ needs, life transitions, ADHD, anxiety, depression, family of origin challenges, and other difficulties. I strongly believe in the importance of understanding how cultural and systemic issues impact our lives. I focus on the needs of the individual and draw from a variety of approaches, including psychodynamic and person-centered therapies, to help you build self-compassion and understanding, as well as make meaningful changes in your life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My main priority is creating a safe enviorment to help you identify and explore the factors that are impacting your life. I tend to challenge you in your therapy journey, while also providing support, understanding, and validation.
