It takes courage to begin something new, although we often don't feel courageous when we are facing the unknown. You've taken the first step by considering counseling and beginning a new journey. You may feel scared, ashamed, nervous, or even excited. I am here to support you no matter what you might be thinking or feeling. In our sessions, I will provide a safe, empathetic, non-judgmental place for you to work through whatever you might be facing. I take a person-centered, trauma-informed, collaborative approach to assisting you with your needs and goals. I look forward to being part of that process with you. My approach I take a holistic approach to therapy while offering integrative modalities of treatment that are person-centered and meet your specific needs. Some of the therapy modalities I may use include acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, dialectical behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization, and/or interpersonal psychotherapy, just to name a few. We would discuss your symptoms, concerns, and what you hope to get from our sessions, and I would collaborate with you to adapt our sessions to help you get the most out of our time together. My focus Have you been struggling with difficult emotions, trouble finding satisfaction where you are currently at in life, feeling anxious, hopeless, or stuck? Just gone through the loss of a loved one or experienced something traumatic in your life? We can work together to help you develop the necessary skills to improve your life, reduce stress, improve your relationships, develop a higher sense of self-esteem, and have the confidence you've been hoping for. My communication style I encourage open communication in our sessions. My approach will be empathetic, compassionate, and I practice active listening.
