Elizabeth Mullins, LICSW

Psychotherapist
AL
I am a psychotherapist with 21 years of experience supporting individuals through some of the most meaningful and challenging chapters of their lives. I believe in the power of connection, compassion, and walking alongside people as they navigate their personal paths with courage, vulnerability, and dignity. My approach I view therapy as a collaborative relationship where we work together to determine the approach that best fits your needs. I draw from a wide range of modalities, including humanistic, existential, evidence-based and more, to tailor care in a way that feels both effective and authentic for you. My focus My clinical focus includes women's issues, PTSD and trauma recovery, addiction and sobriety, and life transitions. I am committed to creating a safe space where you can heal, rebuild, and connect with yourself again. My communication style I am known for being both deeply empathic and straightforward. My communication style is warm, grounded, and honest. I won't simply sit back and ask, "How does that make you feel?" for an entire session. We will have real conversations, using the therapeutic relationship as a bridge to your other relationships. My journey to mental healthcare I became a licensed clinical social worker because I experienced firsthand how transformative therapy can be. This inspired me to offer that same sense of hope and possibility to others. My goals for you I believe that setting goals is a pivotal part of therapy, but I also understand that goals evolve as you grow. We will continue to assess progress, making sure that the goals remain meaningful to you. I am an active therapist, not one who simply sits back while you do all the work. My first session with you Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and start buliding a foundation for our work together. We will do an initial assessment, explore your history, what brought you to theapy, and what you hope to change or achieve going forward.
