Getting to know Elizabeth Nelson

I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), trained in EMDR, IFS, and other body-centered modalities. She works with clients experiencing trauma, C-PTSD, anxiety, depression, addiction, and grief. My approach is holistic and heart-centered, helping my clients reconnect with their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and access the innate healing wisdom within.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can be a big step, and I know how important it is to feel safe and supported from the start. We begin with a free 15-minute consultation. In our first session, I’ll get to know you: what’s bringing you in and what matters most to you. My style is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I work somatically, which means we’ll explore the connection between your body, emotions, and nervous system at a pace that feels right for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Working together will not be traditional talk therapy. Instead, we will explore the subtle cues of your body, gently process past trauma, and restore your capacity for safety, connection, and vitality.
