Getting to know Elizabeth Potter

I treat each situation in a professional manner and use interventions based on an individual's needs. I help my clients find the strength within themselves to live a happy, healthy, and self-fulfilled life. No issue is too little or too big, while everyone deserves time to talk things through. I strive to always meet the client where they are at in order to provide the safest and most comfortable setting. I have professional experience with an assortment of mental health issues, while also seeking additional knowledge in trauma, anxiety, and prenatal/postpartum mental health.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I like to bond with my clients on a professional level while also showing my personality to make you comfortable showing yours. I use clinically proven approaches in my counseling but tailor my approach to your needs. As a bonus:I offer mental health counseling for a variety of complications, my specialties lie within a scope of helping prenatal, postpartum, and labor and delivery mental health challenges. This is a field where we do not ave enough help for new moms and families, which is where I love to come in to help!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session will be a general intake while I try to make it as painless as possible. Every session afterwards are for you! You can be open about what is working well, not working well, and your overall feelings in general. I am here for you! Getting help can be frightening at times but I'm here to offer my time to answer any questions, comments, or concerns. Please reach out for more information.
