Getting to know Elizabeth Racicot

I'm a clinical social worker and the mom of a "neuro-spicy" kiddo. I worked with high-needs kids and adolescents for almost 20 years. I started my internships in 1999, then took some time off from being a therapist to care for my kiddo. I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents recovering from abuse and neglect, and coping with big emotions. I also have experience working with families who are grieving. I tend toward play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. I also utilize DBT when appropriate. I enjoy spending time with my family in Arizona and California, our pets (we have three dogs, a cat, and a lot of fish), and camping and crafting with my Girl Scout troop. I am a lifelong Methodist and believe in each person's ability to create a successful and whole life.
