Psychotherapist
NY
Hi, I'm Liz. Maybe life just changed on you. A new job, a breakup, a move, a loss. Or maybe nothing changed at all, but the worry won't stop. You lie awake at night. You feel stuck, stressed, or not like yourself. You don't have to figure this out alone. I'm a therapist licensed in New Jersey and New York, and I've spent over 18 years helping adults get through anxiety and big life changes. Together, we'll look at what's weighing on you, find what's underneath it, and build real tools you can use every day. I use approaches like CBT and mindfulness, but sessions are shaped around you. All sessions are online, so you can talk from wherever you feel most at ease. Many clients tell me it's easier to open up from their own couch. I accept many insurance plans, so cost doesn't have to stand in the way of getting support. If you're ready to feel more like yourself again, I'd be glad to meet you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have worked with folks of all ages who have experienced anxiety, depression, PTSD & mood disorders. My goal in this work is creating an environment where clients feel seen & heard so they can ultimately get to a place where they see improvements & feel more confident in their everyday lives.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session is really about getting to know you. I'll ask questions so I can see the full picture, not just what brought you in, but what your life really looks like. There's nothing to prepare. You just show up and talk. From there, sessions feel like a real conversation, not an interview. As you share, I'll help you notice patterns and see your situation in new ways. You'll leave sessions with shifts you can feel, without worksheets or homework. The work happens in the room, together. Over time, you'll notice it showing up in your everyday life.
