She was also recognized for Individual Recovery-Oriented Practice by the Recovery-Oriented Community Reintegration Program at East Central Regional Hospital, funded by a grant from Augusta University. This award is designated for a person who implements recovery-oriented practice in everyday work in an inpatient setting. Elizabeth was specifically recognized for supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental illness in finding strength and achieving personal gains throughout the transition from an inpatient residence to living in the community with appropriate supports. Elizabeth enjoys traveling, exploring new cities, and spending time outdoors with her husband and dog, Duke. Her favorite place to recharge is the beach. She finds peace and tranquility in the marshes of the Georgia and Florida coasts.
