“This was my first appointment so it was more of an intake than an actual session. But I can tell off the rip her and I will mostly likely get along very well! She’s well spoken, sweet, and a great listener. Looking forward to our official first session!”

Getting to know Elizabeth Terilli

In the counseling space, I emphasize client autonomy and believe that the client holds all the knowledge and answers to success and fulfillment in life. In our time working together, I guide clients as we navigate areas such as identity development, complex trauma, interpersonal issues, intimate partner violence, career stressors, and life transitions. I primarily work with women, young adults, and LGBTQ+ populations, and I have a passion for providing therapy to underrepresented groups. Through trauma-informed, person-centered, relational, and somatic techniques, I help clients process emotions surrounding difficult and adverse experiences they may have endured in their life. I emphasize that feelings and emotions are a normal and essential part of the therapeutic process to understand more about ourselves, make meaning of life situations and choices, and understand the ways in which our mind and body work together. The therapeutic atmosphere that I provide is gentle, collaborative, validating, affirming, and unique to each client.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the first session I will complete an intake assessment to gather as much information to better assess and get to know you, your history, and what concerns have brought you to therapy and therefore set up goals. The following sessions, we will engage in talk therapy while pulling from various modalities to help you achieve your goals. Our sessions are 53 min in length on a weekly basis.
