Getting to know Elizabeth Walker

• I have a license as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and have been a clinician for over 40 years. I am also a social work professor. • I work with adults in a cross-cultural and diverse practice, having lived in the deep US South and now living in a Hispanic/Native American area of the US. • My approach to therapy is to help figure out what you would like to accomplish, and then how to get us there, together. It isn’t always easy, but I’ll be there for you. • I became a therapist because I like to see other folks thrive – and to be a part of helping them get there. My great aunt was a social worker who did adoptions and I stared at her mantle every year looking at the holiday cards from families she’d helped put together. I wanted to be a part of something like that – and here I am. • I’ve been married for over 40 years and we have two children who are grown and flown, and one gorgeous granddaughter who we do not get to see often enough, although we FaceTime weekly. My hobby is that I’m a rabid cross stitcher of very complicated patterns and projects. I’m also quite a reader.
