Elizabeth Walker, LMHC

Psychotherapist
IN
My name is Elizabeth Walker. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Valparaiso University. I’m a mother, grandmother, wife, and daughter with 14 years of experience as a therapist with clients of various ages. When I’m not in my office, I’m enjoying family, sewing, playing the piano, doing yoga, out enjoying nature, or reading! In our first session together, here's what you can expect In our first session, I’ll conduct an intake- I’ll ask questions as I get to know you and invite you to ask questions of me. I’ll ask about your goals and what you are looking for in therapy. Together we will collaboratively create a treatment plan that meets your needs in therapy. The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions As a therapist, I have a Person Centered approach. That means from the moment we meet as we go through the intake process, I’m listening to hear and see what therapy approaches resonate with your concerns. I’ve worked with young children, teens, and adults of all ages. I’m EMDR trained and a Level 2 IRest Yoga Nidra teacher. The clients I'm best positioned to serve My clients range in age from 5 to senior citizens! Many have struggled with anxiety, grief, depression, anger, and trauma.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
