Getting to know Elizibeth Ayers

I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C) with a Master's in Social Work from Walden University. My clinical practice includes working with children, families, and adults in a variety of settings. I support individuals experiencing trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and autism. My approach is grounded in a strength-based perspective and the person-in-environment framework, so I will meet you where you are at. I use the following modalities in my clinical practice: CBT, ACT, applied behavioral analysis, psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, and the problem-solving model.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better.
