Getting to know Ellen Kipnis

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. I work with individuals and couples struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD/ADD, and maternal mental health (PPD/PPA). Additionally, I provide psychological testing and evaluation services for Immigration Visa Waiver, bariatric surgery, and ADHD needs.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have worked extensively with individuals and couples from diverse cultural backgrounds to improve their symptoms through a strength based coaching model in combination with traditional CBT. I am trained in EFT for couples and various ADHD techniques to improve executive functioning, work/school related performance, and rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD).

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Do you find yourself feeling anxious and overwhelmed, filled with guilt and shame? Do you often second guess your relationships or connections with others? Has it become too difficult to form healthy relationships? Are you feeling hopeless or emotionally lost? These are some of the common challenges I will help to overcome. Our sessions are a safe space for expression that is free of judgement, guilt, or shame.
