I'm a master's-educated and licensed social worker (LMSW) with a concentration in health science, and I'm also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Case Manager (CCM). My journey in the field of mental health has been deeply rooted in my background in health science, which has given me a comprehensive understanding of the physical and biological aspects of well-being, alongside the psychological and social dimensions.
I am trauma- and PTSD-informed, and I have extensive training in treating trauma. My approach to therapy is holistic, considering the physical, biological, behavioral, psychological, spiritual, and social needs of my clients. I believe in the power of integrated behavioral health and mental health care, which allows me to address a wide range of issues from multiple angles.
As a strength-based psychotherapist, I focus on empowering my clients by highlighting their inherent strengths and capabilities. I enjoy utilizing psychoeducation to help my clients understand their conditions and the strategies we use in therapy. My background as a medical social worker and mental health professional equips me with the knowledge and skills to support my clients in thriving despite their challenges.
I specialize in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), which is a goal-directed collaborative approach to psychotherapeutic change that is conducted through direct observation of clients' responses to a series of precisely constructed questions. I find great fulfillment in assisting clients with addressing both intrapersonal and interpersonal problems, helping them navigate life transitions, manage stress, and overcome anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.
