Emilie Diesen, LCMHC

Psychotherapist
NC
I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space for individuals seeking meaningful, supportive therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to identify self-limiting beliefs, explore emotional barriers, and recognize aspects of their lives that may no longer be working, helping them move toward greater clarity and balance. My approach is integrative and tailored to each person, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused work, mindfulness, attachment theory, family systems, internal family systems (IFS), and relational psychology. I aim to foster psychological insight while also providing practical, usable skills such as relaxation and breathing techniques, conflict-resolution strategies, and effective communication tools. I have been licensed as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor since 2010. I can work with clients residing in Washington state and North Carolina. My therapeutic style is active and direct, yet deeply authentic and empathic. I work with individuals ages 12 and older, with a particular focus on anxiety disorders, stress management, trauma, relationship concerns, transitions to parenthood, infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum mood disorders. I incorporate a holistic perspective on mental health that honors the interconnected mental, physical, and spiritual aspects of each person. I have a special interest in complementary and alternative approaches, including yoga and meditation, and thoughtfully integrate these when appropriate. I offer telehealth video sessions for added accessibility and convenience.
