Emily Carroll is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University and a Master's degree in Social Work from Wayne State University, along with study abroad experience in South Korea at Korea University. Emily has been working as a licensed clinician since 2021 but has supported individuals and families struggling with mental health for the past six years, working in the juvenile justice system and community-based programs. Her treatment approach includes individual, family, and couples therapy, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing techniques.
She sees clients ages 8 to 65, specializing in adolescents, young adults, and adults with a wide range of mental health disorders and issues such as ADHD, mood disorders, anger, trauma, personality disorders, grief, life changes, and family challenges. Emily believes that progress in therapy requires clients to feel safe and comfortable sharing difficult experiences. Her goal is to create a safe space where all clients can openly share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences that bring them to therapy. She works collaboratively with clients and their families to support and promote improved mental health.
