Emily Franchi, LCPC, LPC

Psychotherapist
3256 University Dr, Ste 50, Auburn Hills, MI
I specialize in trauma-focused therapy for adults who want to better understand the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that continue to shape their lives. I believe meaningful healing starts with a strong therapeutic relationship, and you can expect me to be engaged and intentional in our work together, including when healing asks us to sit with things that are difficult. With over 10 years of experience in counseling, I draw from EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and psychodynamic approaches, and also work with grief, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem concerns, particularly when they intersect with trauma, identity, and longstanding patterns. I also have extensive experience offering therapy for healthcare professionals and high performing individuals. Sessions may focus on secondary trauma, burnout, repeated exposure to suffering and loss, and the challenge of sustaining your own well-being while managing the demands of a high-pressure career and life outside of work. I know that taking the first step to start therapy can be overwhelming. I work hard to help clients feel comfortable and understood from the first appointment through the end of treatment. Please feel free to contact me if anything in this profiles resonates with you, and we can set up an initial consultation. I look forward to working with you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer therapy for adults of any background who are struggling with challenges such as trauma, ADHD, grief, low self-esteem, relationship issues, depression and anxiety. I hold certifications as a clinical trauma provider and EMDR therapist. I'm licensed in Michigan and Illinois, offering telehealth in both states and in person sessions in Michigan.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In my work, I aim to create an open, welcoming therapy environment where clients feel empowered to make positive changes in their personal lives and relationships. I work with clients to identify their strengths and to set goals of therapy that are exciting and motivating. I base my practice on an integrative approach which allows me to not only provide short-term symptom relief and mood stabilization, but also to foster longer-term growth and self-explorations.
