Getting to know Emily Heo

I utilize a Person-Centered approach to meet clients where they’re at in their process. My approach is to create an authentic connection with each of my clients and to work collaboratively with them in addressing their concerns. I practice with a multicultural lens and seek to understand how a client’s culture and identity impacts them, and how our differing identities show up in the therapy room.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In my work, I utilize trauma-informed and evidenced-based interventions such as ACT, DBT, CBT, Family Systems, play therapy, and psychoeducation to meet you where you're at in your journey. I work with teenagers (14+) and adults providing individual therapy and counseling. I specialize in supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, Eating Disorders, First Responders, substance use/addiction, parenting issues, and more. I remain dedicated to continuing providing multicultural counseling and incorporating it in my practice.
