Getting to know Emily Kline

I welcome individuals, couples, and families to a warm environment where you can feel seen and heard. As a therapist with Finding Peace Therapy, I offer a space in which we collaborate on a plan that works best for you. My role is to be there with you while you navigate your unique journey. Therapy can be vulnerable. In this space, I believe in slowing down, checking in, and honesty above all else. As an Integrative Systemic Therapist (IST), I look at how issues are impacting you both individually and systemically. It's your story, and it is a part of my job to help you rewrite it with the change you want to see. If you are feeling exhausted by the patterns that keep you stuck, we will work together to recognize and break down the barriers to healthier thinking and behaviors. We will create an effective plan to maintain a calmer, happier life. I look forward to meeting you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

I pride myself on creating a judgment free space. My approach is rooted in the Integrative Systemic Therapy Framework, in which I utilize a systems approach while prioritizing your story with collaboration. I often implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems-informed parts work (IFS) to help you develop effective and healthy coping skills.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

You can schedule a first session with me at my comfortable office in Lincoln Square or an online video meeting. I will welcome you with kindness and confidentiality. I look forward to meeting you!
