What should a new client know about working with you?

I am certified in EMDR, which is the gold standard in helping trauma. Along with this, I believe therapy is unique and will tailor the type of therapy we use to what best fits your goals. I will explain what to expect every step of the way! We will work to build a relationship that honors your life experiences and allows you feel seen and safe. We will look at how trauma and chronic issues show up in your life and give you the tools and confidence to cope with life's stress.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We will explore ways to cope and resources and supports you can rely on outside of sessions so that you can stay in the present. Once you feel secure in your ability to handle any uncomfortable feelings that might come up outside of therapy, we can start doing the deep work. This involves working to find the root of the issues or feelings and working to lessen their impact through EMDR and ACT to help you feel better overall.
