Getting to know Emmanuel Perez

Everyone has their own personal journey throughout life that shapes who they are. However, it can often feel overwhelming and lonely when you don’t have the support you need, especially when life becomes unbearable. My passion is to help strengthen and encourage you so that you can begin to live life with purpose. I enjoy creating an inclusive, warm, and accepting environment for wherever you are in your journey. I’ll make sure you feel appreciated and understood as we gently peel back the layers of who you are. My goal is to help you explore your fears, doubts, guilt, shame, and begin replacing distorted thoughts and faulty beliefs with truth that transforms. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, grief, low self-worth, or spiritual discouragement, I will always include you in the treatment planning process and ensure you’re getting the most out of your time in therapy. In my free time, I enjoy running my own dance company in the city, hosting dance music events, teaching classes, and spending time dog sitting.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As your therapist, I aim to provide you with a “toolbox” of skills needed to improve your life and begin seeing yourself for who you were truly created to be. I believe that the client and clinician, when collaborative, can find the best ways to improve the clients own life. I enjoy guiding my clients in the direction that I believe is best for them while also giving you autonomy to make the decisions you believe is best. I’ll always be in the canoe of life with you, paddling through the deep waters so you are never overcome by fear.
