Hello, I'm Emmogene. Life can be difficult to manage at times, whether due to daily life stressors, more major events, or ongoing mental health issues, and sometimes the tools we already have aren't enough. These things can impact our well-being, and we need someone to help us learn new ways to deal more effectively with these stressors and the overwhelming feelings they can cause. I can provide a safe space where I can guide you through coping with difficult experiences and managing life's challenges. I graduated from Webster University in 2015 with a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology. Now, as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I work in private practice primarily with anxiety, depression, PTSD, LGBTQIA+, and substance use. Prior to private practice, I worked in community mental health, as well as both inpatient and outpatient substance use treatment facilities, helping people work through these issues and a variety of others, including bipolar disorder and couples' issues. My therapeutic approach is rooted in creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can feel heard and understood. I believe in the power of collaboration and tailor my methods to fit your unique needs and goals. Whether you're dealing with trauma, stress, or seeking support as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am here to help you navigate your journey towards healing and self-discovery. When we work together, you can expect a compassionate and empathetic space where your experiences are validated, and your strengths are recognized. I am committed to helping you develop effective coping strategies and empowering you to make positive changes in your life. Outside of my professional life, I value staying grounded and connected with my own well-being. I enjoy spending time in nature, practicing mindfulness, and continuously learning to enhance my therapeutic skills. If you're ready to take the next step towards improving your mental health and well-being, I invite you to reach out. Let's work together to create a path forward that feels right for you.
