Dr. Nina Enriquez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing psychotherapy for over 12 years. I earned my Master's in Social Work from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and my doctorate from USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. You will find I am a pretty laid-back individual, yet I will challenge your awareness to reflect and learn why we behave the way we do. This helps to create positive change. I work with individuals of all ages and provide individual, family, and couples therapy sessions. I specialize in grief, loss, traumatic grief, and traumatic bereavement. We will all experience loss in our lives-loss of health, lifestyle, divorce, a break-up, self-image, identity, trust, faith, death, and much more. Grief is a natural response to loss, but when we don't know how to manage or cope with grief, we may be at risk of developing a mental health disorder. In therapy, telling your story is vital to growth. Your story is important to express, release, and find the root cause that led to the challenges you have faced in life. Another vital component of therapy is increasing your awareness of the strengths you have. A crisis or stressful event may blind us from strengths we used before to overcome. You will learn different coping strategies and receive handouts and worksheets to help you begin the steps to self-discovery, reflection, and find the person we are truly meant to be.
