At Devers Counseling and Consultation, PLLC we provide services to individuals, couples and families using evidence-based practices and modalities that are based on the needs and individuality of our clients. We pride ourselves on meeting clients where they are at with compassion, competency and clarity. Our therapists have worked in Community Mental Health, Substance Abuse Centers, Crisis Centers and residential treatment facilities which allow us to bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in working with diverse populations and mental health needs ranging from very mild to severe. Our founder has 27 years of experience in the mental health field working with teens and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, substance abuse and a multitude of diagnoses across many spectrums. He has been awarded the Human Services Award from Western Kentucky University and is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, the 7 Challenges (Juvenile Substance Abuse) and is a Certified Juvenile Sexual Offender Treatment Provider. We work with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to schedule psychiatric assessments and provide medication management. We work directly with each APRN in staffing clients and sharing concerns. We utilize Best Practice and always honor HIPAA regulations in protecting our clients' healthcare information.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our therapists utilize a person-centered style in working with our clients and strive to meet each client at their developmental and functioning level. We collaborate and consult on difficult cases in order to provide the most effective, evidence-based care for each and every client we serve.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Clients are paired with therapists based on identified clinical need and specialties of our therapists. Clients are able to sign up and schedule themselves as well as changing or cancelling appointments as needed. Clients collaborate on crafting their treatment goals and developing a plan for success that may include family, couples and group therapy as well as medication management.
