Eric Diilio, LPC

Psychotherapist
PA
Hi there, I'm Eric! I am Eric DiIlio, LPC. In my counseling practice, I use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) with elements of ecotherapy. These approaches help individuals with struggles such as depression, anxiety, relationship discord, and trauma/abuse. My approach CBT is a best-practice, effective “talk therapy” focusing on beneficial ways of thinking (cognition) and taking action (behavior) to manage mental health distress. Ecotherapy accesses healing and restorative benefits from nature experiences. I ensure clarity of treatment goals and process so clients understand how to take action on their struggles and maintain healthy coping strategies. My focus I help clients with depression, anxiety, relationship troubles, stress, PTSD/trauma, suicidal ideation, low self-esteem, substance abuse, anger, antisocial tendencies, codependency, divorce, family conflict, grief, life transitions, men’s issues, parenting, peer relationships, and poor sleep/insomnia. My communication style I am actively engaged during sessions, listening while providing reflecting, formulating, brainstorming, compassionate challenging, and supportive commending. I strive to make concepts and skills understandable and retainable. I put clients at ease by normalizing the human experience and using humor and humility. My journey to mental healthcare I have always had a strong empathetic disposition that led me to health and wellness. After earning my undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University in Environmental Education, I worked at outdoor centers in New England and the Pacific Northwest as a biology instructor, high ropes course director, and adventure outing/team-building facilitator. I later earned my Master’s in Counseling from Lewis & Clark College, solidifying my commitment to supporting others through mental health challenges.
