Psychotherapist
NV
I work with adults and couples who feel stuck in frustrating patterns—whether that looks like chronic overwhelm, emotional reactivity, miscommunication, or a sense that you’re capable of more but can’t seem to access it consistently. For adults with ADHD, therapy with me is practical, validating, and skills-focused. ADHD isn’t a lack of effort or intelligence—it’s a nervous system difference that impacts focus, motivation, emotional regulation, and self-trust. Together, we work to reduce shame, build systems that actually fit your brain, and create sustainable strategies for follow-through, boundaries, and emotional balance—without trying to turn you into someone you’re not. For couples, I help partners move out of blame and defensiveness and into clarity and teamwork. Many of the couples I work with are loving and committed but caught in cycles of misattunement, resentment, or repeated conflict. I focus on improving communication, rebuilding trust, and helping each partner feel seen and understood—especially when ADHD, emotional sensitivity, or differing needs are part of the dynamic. My approach is collaborative, structured, and compassionate. Therapy isn’t about fixing you—it’s about understanding what’s getting in the way and building a path forward that actually works.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often describe my style as structured, direct, and supportive. I aim to create a space that feels safe and nonjudgmental while also being purposeful and focused. Sessions are active and collaborative—you won’t be left wondering what we’re doing or why. We identify patterns, clarify goals, and work on practical strategies you can apply between sessions. I value honesty and transparency in the therapy process. I’ll offer reflections, ask thoughtful questions, and gently challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck, always with respect and compassion. Therapy with me is not just a place to vent; it’s a place to build insight, skills, and momentum. You can expect consistency, clear communication, and an approach that adapts to your needs over time. Progress may involve discomfort at times, but it will be intentional and paced. My role is to help you understand yourself more clearly, strengthen emotional regulation and communication, and leave sessions with a sense of direction rather than confusion.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

n the early sessions, we focus on understanding what brings you to therapy, what has and hasn’t worked in the past, and what you’d like to be different. We’ll clarify goals together and identify patterns that may be contributing to ongoing stress, conflict, or feeling stuck. Sessions are structured but flexible. We usually begin by checking in on what feels most important that day, then work intentionally on a specific theme—such as communication patterns, emotional regulation, follow-through, or relationship dynamics. I often integrate discussion, reflection, and practical tools so sessions feel grounded and applicable to real life. When relevant, I may suggest strategies, exercises, or small experiments to try between sessions. These are collaborative and realistic, not “homework for homework’s sake.” Progress is reviewed regularly so we can adjust our approach as your needs evolve. Overall, therapy is a steady process of building insight, skills, and confidence, with the goal that what we do in session translates into meaningful change outside of it.
