Erica Fulton, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Hi there, I'm Erica! My name is Erica D. Fulton, owner and founder of the Calm Corner, where we provide virtual counseling services to individuals ages 12 and up who are struggling to manage ADHD symptoms, navigating the tasks of grief, or simply need a safe space and listening ear. I also support those working to reorient their lives after trauma. I have been a licensed professional counselor since 2021 and an LCDC since 2019, with experience treating co-occurring disorders as well as chaplain experience at a level-one trauma hospital. I earned my Master's in Counseling from Houston Graduate School of Theology. My areas of focus include life transitions, trauma, grief, loss, and the management of ADHD or ADD. I also emphasize trauma-informed care and successful rapport-building with parents when working with minors. My approach My common therapeutic approaches include cognitive processing therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed therapy, and strength-based therapy. My focus I am comfortable treating simple and complex trauma, grief (both traumatic and non-traumatic), and clients struggling to manage ADHD. My communication style I communicate with clients in a calm manner. I focus first and foremost on building rapport, and through the therapeutic alliance, I strive to create a spirit of collaboration within the therapeutic relationship. My journey to mental healthcare I became a therapist after experiencing several losses myself. I had an amazing therapist and a supportive village, and I recall the crucial role my therapist played in my healing journey. My personal experience with grief and trauma inspired my desire to help others on their healing paths. What drives me is the hope that my clients not only survive but thrive and live out their purpose. Additionally, my lived experience of widowhood and living much of my life undiagnosed with ADHD deeply informs my work.
