“For over a decade, I have sought support from therapists, psychiatrists, and psychologists, hoping to feel truly seen and understood. Yet, no one has come close to providing the kind of support that Erica Ward has given me. Erica is more than just a professional—she is the first person who has truly seen me. She listens without judgment, meets me where I am, and validates my experiences in a way no one else has. Unlike others, she does not treat me as a case file or a set of symptoms but as a whole person with emotions and a story that matters. Erica doesn’t just listen—she hears me, even when I struggle to find the words. She picks up on the unspoken emotions and understands me on a deeper level. Her compassion, patience, and unwavering support have changed my life. I feel valued, heard, and truly understood for the first time. She has given me a gift that no one else has—the reassurance that my voice matters, that I matter.”

Getting to know Erica Ward

I am an ADHD therapist specializing in adult ADHD treatment. I’m Erica Ward, MPH, LCSW-QS, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years of experience providing psychotherapy and behavioral health services in both medical and community-based settings. I provide secure telehealth therapy for adults in Florida, Connecticut, and Texas, focusing on the practical challenges that often accompany ADHD, including executive functioning difficulties, emotional dysregulation, chronic overwhelm, and ADHD-related anxiety. My approach is structured, collaborative, and skills-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)–informed interventions to help clients build systems that support focus, consistency, and emotional regulation in daily life. Treatment planning is individualized, with session frequency determined collaboratively based on clinical needs, treatment goals, and progress over time. My practice is best suited for adults seeking ADHD-focused therapy and structured, ongoing work with a provider who values clarity, professionalism, and intentional care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I approach therapeutic work with the belief that professional, respectful rapport is essential to accurate understanding and meaningful progress. I prioritize structure, clarity, and collaboration so clients feel heard while also receiving direct, clinically grounded care. Serenity Space reflects a commitment to ethical practice, transparency, and intentional treatment. My work is organized, thoughtful, and goal-oriented, with an emphasis on helping clients build insight, regulation, and sustainable change over time. I work best with individuals who are seeking consistent, ongoing therapy and value a clear, professional therapeutic process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My work begins with a structured initial session focused on understanding your background, current concerns, and goals for therapy. Because my practice specializes in adult ADHD, this first session also helps clarify how ADHD may be affecting areas such as executive functioning, emotional regulation, work performance, relationships, and daily routines. Together, we use this information to develop a clear and intentional plan for treatment. Sessions are collaborative and skills-based, combining clinical conversation with practical strategies tailored to your needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)–informed approaches and may incorporate structured tools or exercises when helpful. Therapy is always grounded in real-world application and sustainable change. Over time, we revisit goals, assess progress, and adjust the focus of therapy as needed. I emphasize consistency, clarity, and transparency so clients understand what we are working on and why. This practice is best suited for individuals seeking ADHD-focused therapy and ongoing, engaged work with a provider who values both clinical structure and genuine human connection.

My first visit was what kept me coming back. Virtual meetings are not my strongest point, but meeting with Erica has made it so easy to open up and speak. She’s created a comforting space where I feel as though I’ve known her for years. After just a few weeks of working together, I’m already grateful for the progress I’ve made. Her professionalism and guidance have been invaluable as I navigate through what I’m currently experiencing. I’m so happy I started this journey with her and look forward to continuing our sessions.
My entire life, I have had problems setting boundaries, resulting in dealing with issues and not taking proper care of myself. This has also enabled others to walk all over me. Erica has had to work with me changing how I think. I have not totally resolved this but I am aware and will keep on pushing myself to take care of me. Thank Erica

She is very patient and listens actively and will go over a subject as many times as I need to, to feel relieved. She is always on time and has a great positive can-do attitude towards life. Erica is the best therapist that I have encountered. And, that is a very pleasant change from some of the experiences of the past. She is professional, kind, encouraging, and understanding. She is effectively able to facilitate the work that I need to do by myself for my current and future self. And, most importantly, she works with me to address my needs which may differ from week to week.
