Life is a journey—sometimes smooth, sometimes overwhelmingly heavy. Along the way, we all face challenges that inhibit our forward momentum. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, or simply feeling stuck, it's okay to ask for help. Reaching out is a powerful first step toward healing and growth. I bring years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan—from children to adults—helping them navigate everything from mild stressors to complex and severe mental health issues. My approach is compassionate, grounded, and tailored to meet you where you are. You are not alone. Let’s take the next step together. Reach out today. Your journey toward healing can start now. My approach Therapy requires personal responsibility and initiative to foster change, so I lean heavily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as my overarching foundation for assisting clients to move toward their treatment goals. By exploring the interconnectedness of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and building an arsenal of coping skills, I believe individuals will be better equipped to deal with obstacles. However, l recognize that people are diverse and dynamic, so I draw from other theoretical orientations and utilize various interventions to help meet the needs of the person before me.

What should a new client know about working with you?

We live in a broken world, encountering and experiencing various degrees of dysfunction throughout our journey of life. At times, we have the skills and support to move along the bumpy, unpaved roads we end up on. But there are other times we become so disoriented, lost, hurt, or paralyzed with fear as we try to find our growth path. I love the opportunity to walk alongside individuals and help them explore available options, identify skills and supports that have been overlooked, and move out of their comfort zones to obtain new resources to assist in reaching their desired destination in life. We were not meant to do life alone, and I would like to make myself available for this season of your life to offer up the knowledge and experience I've acquired throughout my career in the mental health field. My communication style I am a listener, and I like to listen for understanding. I want to view the world through your eyes and share your experience as a starting point to treatment and the obstacles you're facing. I also believe it's highly beneficial to challenge your thoughts and perspective in a trusting and supportive environment. I view myself as both a coach and cheerleader on your journey to improved mental health.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goals for you People ultimately seek therapy because they are experiencing internal and/or external obstacles that are inhibiting their ability to move forward. I will work with you to better define and identify those emotional and behavioral barriers. Then we will work toward gaining understanding and developing skills around the goals that will make life more manageable for you. Life is dynamic and complex, so goals may become more focused or change over time. I will be here to provide my knowledge, experience, and therapeutic tools that will help pave the way to reaching your goals. My first session with you Our first encounter will be an opportunity for us to gain a better understanding of each other and begin the process of developing a working relationship. I want to get to know you in various aspects of your life, the strengths you have, and the challenges you're experiencing. I want you to get to know me and my views on the therapeutic process. I hope that my personality and demeanor will set the foundations for a safe, supportive environment. Therapy is a journey with many paths, some leading to success, others to failure, and some roads are mixed. I consider it an honor to walk alongside you through the ups and downs.
