Dr. Erika Bondi, PhD, LMHC

Psychotherapist
S Ave, Rochester, NY
'm Erika, a bilingual (hablo español), mental health counselor practicing in Rochester, New York. I help people heal core wounds to align mind, body, and spirit. My holistic counseling approach integrates, emotion-focused, body-centered, and psychodynamic modalities. My work is heavily informed by Brainspotting, Experiential Dynamic Therapies, Hakomi, Yoga, Parts and Ancestral work. Healing does not have to be done alone, it does not have a timeline or age, and often it is not linear. It can be uncomfortable and challenging, restorative and humanizing. It is an ongoing process of liberation done with others along the way. And most importantly, I believe that it is an act of love, a deep love for self, for family, for community, for ancestors, and for future generations that will inherit the Earth.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe that healing happens in relationship. When you feel truly seen, safe, and accompanied, something in you begins to soften, open, and reorganize. That is the heart of how I work. My role is to offer a steady, compassionate presence and a space where you don't have to perform, explain, or hurry. We'll go at the pace your system needs. I listen to your words and to what your body carries, because so much of what we've lived is held beneath language. My approach is trauma-informed and body-centered, and it draws on mindfulness, emotion-focused and person-centered work, and Brainspotting, which can help us reach what talking alone sometimes can't. I trust that you already hold a deep capacity to heal and change. Within a safe relationship, that capacity has room to emerge, and what once felt stuck can begin to move. You don't have to have it all figured out when you arrive. We'll begin by getting to know each other and finding what feels right for you, and we'll build from there together.
