My therapeutic style is an invitation to openness: a space where we discover and welcome all that arises. I offer an honest, non-judgmental, and organic environment for forging a relationship of trust and respect. From this foundation, we can gain insight into your unique story and how your inner landscape, the immediate environments you exist in, and larger surrounding systems influence your choices and ways of living. Through this process, self-inquiry and capacity-building abound. People live in relation to their environments and consequently develop patterns of behaviors and relationships that in many ways help them survive. While useful in some seasons of life, these patterns can remain long after they are needed and may even become limiting or harmful. In our work together, we will find liberation from self-defeating behaviors and remove obstructions to embracing change. From my perspective, the goal of therapy is to facilitate self-understanding and transformative change in an environment of warmth, compassion, and collaboration. When we engage in this work, connecting with and being supported by others, our capacity for personal growth expands. I offer to listen and help you put words to your experiences, as well as to invite perspectives not previously explored. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Chicago, which informs my approach and commitment to evidence-based, client-centered care.
