Getting to know Erika Roberts

Everyone needs assistance and guidance from time to time. I have spent the majority of my career in mental health working with the homeless population, youth, teens, and individuals with severe mental health concerns. I have helped individuals navigate a variety of issues. I am comfortable working with individuals who are on the Autism Spectrum, the LGBTQ+ population, and those navigating trauma-related issues, anxiety, depression, and management of interpersonal relationships. I believe people should be allowed to grow and progress from whatever type of issues they are struggling with while being treated with compassion, respect, and care. Each client should leave a session with tools they can implement in their own lives, even if that is just the release of being able to talk about their troubles or concerns. I approach therapy with a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Sometimes our emotions just become too much for us to deal with on our own. I believe my sessions are compassionate, yet challenging enough to help you grow. My experience is not only academic but personal as well. I hold a Master's in Social Work from West Texas A&M University. I hope that you will benefit from speaking with me and that I can help you enrich your life and reach your full potential. At this time, most of my availability is on weekends due to other obligations, but I am hoping to expand availability soon. Please be mindful of this if you agree to connect with me as a therapist.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Most sessions start with a check in of your week and how things are currently going. We review and identity goals for treatment and where we are in terms of progress toward that goal. I usually leave it up to the client to discuss any pressing or ongoing concerns or needs. I give supportive feedback and often provide education on coping strategies and explore methods to address current concerns.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits
