What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a 15-year, medically retired police officer, and my passion is to give back to those who have also served. I understand the unique and often complex issues that arise from serving communities and country, including depression, addiction, grief, loss, and trauma. Using evidence-based practices within a holistic healing approach, I understand the culture and language of veteran and first responder communities. Feel free to be open and express yourself with someone who can relate to you without judgment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I keep a conversational, friendly tone. Mental health recovery is my PASSION! I love to help people heal and become the best versions of themselves, and I work collaboratively with clients to ensure their therapeutic goals are met. I don't speak like a typical therapist, and can be direct and frank when needed. I want my clients to feel comfortable and safe enough to express themselves without fear of judgment. I shoot straight from the hip, and I love it when clients feel comfortable enough to do the same.
