Getting to know Erika Weaver

Hi there, I'm Erika. How are your mind, body, and spirit today? What makes you feel alive today? I work with individuals and couples who struggle with LGBT issues, intimacy-related challenges, self-esteem, career difficulties, depression, anxiety, compassion fatigue, family concerns, life transitions, post-traumatic stress, self-love, and sexuality. I am an LGBTQ2S+ affirming therapist and support transgender and gender-questioning clients. I have been licensed since 2019 and have worked in the field since 2012. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University. Therapy can be a deep, powerful, and collaborative experience with professional guidance. My therapeutic style is based on respect, safety, connection, empathy, and curiosity. I believe we each have a collection of stories that make us unique. I want to honor your journey and help you work through tough feelings and fears.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect to feel valued and safe in the therapeutic relationship. Clients may begin to feel uncomfortable as they explore and share aspects of themselves. This is all part of the process. Clients can also expect to feel encouraged to commit to the process of therapy but also know life happens and scheduling conflicts might occur. Clients should not expect to feel perfect in therapy.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
