What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide a supportive and affirming space for clients navigating trauma, disordered eating, mood disorders, anxiety, and LGBTQ+ identity issues. My approach is deeply relational, trauma-informed, and inclusive, helping you explore core issues, develop meaningful coping strategies, and cultivate self-compassion. Therapy with me is typically long-term, meeting weekly or biweekly to support lasting growth. Through our work together, you can expect to gain deeper self-insight, foster emotional balance, and move toward a more fulfilling life. For those interested, I also offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) as an adjunctive treatment to enhance therapeutic progress. With over a decade of experience across diverse mental health settings—including hospitals, inpatient care, partial programs, and individual therapy—I bring a nuanced understanding of eating disorders and the harm of moral judgments about the body. My work is HAES-informed, and I am committed to dismantling stigma around body image, food, and self-worth.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I offer sessions in-person and virtually Tuesday through Friday. New clients will schedule a 75-minute appointment for an initial intake assessment where I learn about what brings you to therapy and where you can ask me questions about my practice and approach. To help ease the process of using out-of-network (OON) benefits, Thrizer can submit superbills for you and have your reimbursement back in your account within a couple days for a very small service fee. If you do not have OON benefits, and my fee is a hardship, contact me about a sliding scale.

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $200 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $125-150 for 60 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork

More information on payments and coverage

I accept most plans under Aetna, UnitedHealth Care and Cigna. Otherwise, I am out of network (OON), meaning I do not accept insurance directly. However, if you have a PPO health insurance plan, you likely have OON benefits—I can assist you in verifying your coverage. Once your OON deductible is met, your insurance may reimburse a portion of the session cost, with some clients receiving up to 80% coverage, depending on their plan. To simplify the reimbursement process, many of my clients use Thrizer, which helps streamline superbill submissions for insurance claims.
