Getting to know Erin Fox

Are you looking for therapeutic support with more flexibility and creativity than traditional talk therapy? Hey! I'm Erin, an art therapist passionate about creative art therapy, narrative therapy, and IFS parts work. I hold a Master's in Art Therapy from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor's degree from Lehigh University. I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate stress, anxiety, grief, and difficult life transitions. My approach integrates creative expression with therapeutic storytelling, allowing you to explore and reshape your personal narratives. I believe that each of us has multiple aspects within ourselves, and through exploration, we can give voice to these parts, fostering greater self-understanding and acceptance. I help teens and adults navigate stress, anxiety, self-esteem issues, grief, teen and women's issues, and tough life transitions. Whether coping with loss, exploring your sense of self, or seeking ways to manage life's complexities, I'm here to help you! I strive to uphold a nurturing, safe, anti-oppressive, LGBTQIA2S+ and gender-affirming therapeutic space.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I help teens and adults navigate stress, anxiety, self-esteem issues, grief, teen and women's issues, and tough life transitions. Whether coping with loss, exploring your sense of self, or seeking ways to manage life's complexities, I’m here to help you! I strive to uphold a nurturing, safe, anti-oppressive, LGBTQIA2S+ and gender affirming therapeutic space. I would love to guide you on your journey to actualize and nurture your authentic Self.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

From a creative lens, I help my clients identify and stabilize symptoms of anxiety and stress in both their minds and bodies. I create a safe, compassionate space for clients navigating grief. From my experience, I am attuned to the unique difficulties of teens and young adults facing challenges such as self-esteem, life transitions and identity formation. I often implement tools such as mindfulness, parts work, and somatic work to help my clients. I recognize the importance of playfulness and exploration in growth and am passionate about narrative therapy and storytelling. As an Art Therapist, art making is always welcome and encouraged in sessions, however it is never required. We will work together to design a space that is comfortable for you!
