Getting to know Erin Hawkins

I have spent the majority of my professional career in a military environment and consider it an honor to have helped individuals with significant trauma, depression, anxiety, and overall life stress. The integration of physical and behavioral health is the epitome of why I entered the mental health field. My approach helps bridge a gap that isn't often addressed in healing. I also strongly believe that financial hardships should not be a barrier to access mental health. Therefore, if this is something that prevents making an appointment, lets have a conversation. MY EDUCATION AND TRAINING BA Psychology, State University of New York at Buffalo MS in Human Services; Counseling Studies, Capella University MSW Social Work, Boston University Licensed Clinical Social Worker: Florida: SW-16535 California: LCSW:137309 FUN FACTS ABOUT ME: ~ I am a 10-year veteran ~ Fitness is a huge part of my life and I am an avid runner, lifter and hiker ~ Having a negative experience with therapy myself is what drew me to become a therapist ~ I have 2 dogs named Taco and Bean ~ Favorite Quote: "The mind is not big enough for both worry and faith…you must choose which one will live there'~ Anonymous

What should a new client know about working with you?

While therapy is not a “one-size-fits-all” endeavor, I do believe that we all carry with us the emotional imprints of every moment in our lives. Every triumph, challenge, tragedy, and joy logs messages and emotional memories within us and our bodies. Sometimes those messages dictate, even inhibit, how we relate to ourselves and others, respond to events and experiences in the present, and how we live our day-to-day lives. By exploring these messages in-session, we identify thought patterns, beliefs, and emotions that are at the root of our concerns, and with time and consistency, heal and replace them with thoughts and messaging that points us in the direction of balance, acknowledgement, validation, and self-worth.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I dont feel like im just having a conversation or just opening up….im amazed of how intellectual she is at her job and to pinpoint exactly what is happening like when you go to the doctors and tell them your symptoms and they diagnose you.

Kind and validating therapist. Great listener but helps keep me focused on what we are working on. Able to get in to see her weekly. She is easy to talk to!
