I am an Alaskan, member of the LGBTQ community, who works with adults experiencing life transitions, grief, career changes, and more. I use a strength-based and client-centered approach to work towards real solutions so you can feel your best again. My approach I will be your biggest supporter and advocate. I strive to create a space that allows you to feel relaxed and safe to be your true self. I use solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and strength-based approaches to therapy, often including components of mindfulness and psychoeducation, depending on what works best for your goals. Ultimately, we can tailor our time together to make it what you need. My focus Have you been going through big life changes, experiencing a loss, or maybe exploring career changes? These life events come with anxiety, feelings of inadequacy, and grief. I work with adults ranging from young adults learning how to navigate life, career professionals experiencing imposter syndrome, to older adults fearing loss of independence. My communication style I aim for open communication that is respectful and non-judgmental. I acknowledge that opening up in a new setting can be scary, and I will work with you to clarify statements and feelings so you feel understood. Therapy can get emotional and feel messy at times, and you can look to me to provide a calming experience to work through the emotions. My first session with you Should you decide to schedule an appointment with me, we will spend the first visit getting to know each other and deciding if we're a good fit. The first visit will go over some logistics of how therapy works, answer any questions you have, and begin planning our path together.
