Erin Miller-Brennan, CMHC

Psychotherapist
UT
From 2010 to 2014, I had the privilege of living in Brisbane, Australia, where I had the opportunity to travel, tent and car camp up and down the coast, and learn to surf. During this time, I attended The University of Queensland, earning a Master’s in Art Therapy. Now, with a dual license in California and Utah, my approach to therapy is truly authentic and tailored to each unique individual. Since 2012, I have worked both internationally and nationally with children and families, refugee and immigrant families, individual adults, teens, transitional-age youth, and senior adults. I truly believe there is no issue too great or too small to work through in therapy, and it takes great courage to make the first step of connecting with a therapist to begin your self-exploration. I am able to hold space for you to think through, process, and make meaning out of your life and experiences without judgment. In therapy, one of the most telling signs of client success is the relationship between client and therapist. Rapport and trust are among the most important elements to build in the therapeutic alliance, and I am here to support you at your pace with my psychodynamic approach to care. I am driven to reduce the stigma of mental health care by making it culturally inclusive and accessible to all. Cultural humility, racial and gender equality, and client advocacy have become deeply ingrained in my therapeutic work ethic. I have made a professional—and personal—commitment to continually learn and grow in these areas to best support my clients.
